Dear Bugsy, I was stunned to find out about Michael. My next door neighbor, Simona Perry, gave me the sad news the day after the visitation. Had I known earlier, I certainly would have been there. After so many years of living across Liberty Street from y'all, I only got to know Michael when he came to work at Grey Line. I thoroughly enjoyed my relationship with my long-ago neighbor after so many years. Michael was terribly bright and really knew his facts about our amazing city of Savannah. I am truly sorry about Michael. P.S. If I had known your address, I would have written a "proper" note. With sincere sympathy, Loretto

A candle has been lit!

I am so sad to hear about the passing of Mr. Graves. I rented from Mr. and Mrs. Graves when I moved to Savannah over 30 years ago. Mr. Graves always enjoyed sharing stories about Savannah, which I still recall. I remember with fondness his joy when they brought April home. Even when I bought my own home, I still ran into the Graves from time to time - Mr. Graves walking the dogs, walking arm and arm down Abercorn with Kay, or playing with April on the playground - even the family shopping together at Publix 12 Oaks. It was always wonderful to see them even in passing and catch up, however short our time was. I am forever grateful that our paths crossed. I send heartfelt condolences and prayers to Kay, Alice, and the Graves family.
